SHAKER BARN MUSIC SERIES
Below you will find information on the audio and lighting equipment that will be provided for your upcoming performance at Hancock Shaker Village, as well as directions to the Barn that you'll be performing in.
Sound System Details
We have been providing sound services for the Shaker Barn Music Series since its inception. We will be providing a Midas M32 32 channel digital front of house console where we also mix monitors from, QSC front of house speakers, delayed QSC speakers that are set up deeper into the room, low profile wedge stage monitors (each on a separate mix), as well as Atlas microphone stands, a professional-grade microphone and DI package, and power for the stage placed both upstage and downstage.
There will also be an experienced sound technician to mix your soundcheck and performance if you are not traveling with a front of house engineer. If you would like us to mix feel free to view some of the clients that we have mixed for in the past to put your mind at ease!
Backline
We do not provide any backline unless discussed and approved in advance. Please be sure to bring your own stage equipment including your instrument cables.
Lighting Details
There are 6 LED lighting fixtures that are installed on a barn beam above the front of the stage (as shown below) that can be set to any color.

Load-In Note: You'll be able to back your vehicles right up to the large Barn doors to unload and we will provide you with a hand cart that you can use to move your equipment onto the stage. NO stairs to climb, it's an easy load-in!

IMPORTANT NOTE
The directions provided below have been taken from the HSV website and directs you to the Main Entrance which is nowhere near the Barn that you will be performing in. Please follow the directions to the Barn entrance that are shown above the green map shown below.
Hancock Shaker Village is located on Route 20 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, just west of the junction of Routes 20 and 41.

From Albany, New York (approximately 1 hour)
Take Route I-90 east to Exit 11E (Route 20) Nassau

Follow Route 20 east into Massachusetts. The Village’s entrance is on the right, approximately 3 miles from the New York/Massachusetts border.
From Boston (approximately 2 1/2 hours), Springfield (approximately 1 hour), Massachusetts and other points east

Take I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) west to exit 1

Take Route 41 north through the towns of West Stockbridge and Richmond to the junction of Route 20)

Take Route 20 west for 0.5 miles, the Village’s entrance is on the left.
From Connecticut

If you are located near I-91, take I-91 north to I-90 and follow above directions from Springfield. If you are in eastern Connecticut, it is not convenient to use the Massachusetts Turnpike.

Take Route 44 west to Route 8

Take Route 8 north to Route 20

Take Route 20 west; it merges with Route 7 in Lenox.

Follow Route 7 north/20 west to Pittsfield where Route 20 west breaks off.

Take Route 20 west, the Village’s entrance is 6 miles on the left.

orTake Route 44 north to Route 7 in Canaan, Connecticut.

Take Route 7 north through Great Barrington, Massachusetts to Route 41.

Take Route 41 north to the junction of Routes 41 and 20.

Take Route 20 west for 0.5 miles, the Village’s entrance is on the left.
From New York City via I-87 (approximately 3 hours)
Take I-87 north to I-90

Take I-90 east to Exit B-3 in New York (There is no exit eastbound at Exit 1 in Massachusetts. If you continue on I-90 you can get off at exit 2-Lee and follow directions from Massachusetts and other points east.)

Take Route 22 (north) to Route 295

Take Route 295 east to Route 41

Take Route 41 north to the junction of Routes 41 and 20

Take Route 20 west for 0.5 miles, the Village’s entrance is on the left.
From New York City via Taconic Parkway (approximately 3 hours)

Take the Parkway north to Route 295 (it is the last exit before the toll).

Take Route 295 east to Route 41.

Take Route 41 north to the junction of Routes 41 and 20.

Take Route 20 west for 0.5 miles, the Village’s entrance is on the left.
VERY IMPORTANT
Directions to the Barn entrance.
The band entrance to the Barn is located off of Rte 40 (shown in the green map below) where you will find a sign labeled as a "Staff Entrance". Once you follow the road to the Barn as indicated you'll be able to back your vehicles right up to the large Barn doors to unload. NO stairs to climb, it's an easy load-in!
